We can design and manufacture almost everything from custom sized shelves to floor-to-ceiling cupboards. I'm building a new home. At what stage should I book a consultation with you to plan my home storage?
We recommend an initial consultation just before your plans are finalised or before the framing goes up so we can make adjustments to internal walls if needed. If your home is near completion, we can still help you; however, the storage system will be designed around the available space as the main structures of the house will already be in place.
Do you create storage plans for existing homes?
Yes, we do. A large proportion of our design work is to create practical solutions for existing homes to best utilise the space available. Who installs my built-in storage system? Do you have an installation team?
Your built-in storage system will be installed by our own experienced joiners at Waikato Wardrobes. Our dedicated installation team ensures your NZ-made storage units are fitted to the highest standard.
How long does the custom-made storage design and installation process take?
The design process for your custom-made storage solution usually takes a minimum of 5–10 working days, depending on current bookings and any special product requirements. Installation is scheduled when your design is finalised and your custom-made units are ready.
Is it possible to add glass doors for my entertainment unit?
Yes, it is. As we custom build your storage to order, you can have it just the way you want.
Can I have doors on my garage storage?
Yes, you can. We recommend installing sliding or multi-stacking doors to save space in tight areas where a swing door is not practical, for example, in front of or alongside cars.
Can you remove or modify existing shelving in my home?
Waikato Wardrobes does not remove existing units or modify existing storage systems made by other companies, as this could affect your warranties. You will need to arrange for removal before our installation starts.
